Head Coach

The Campion Grads are lucky to have such an incredible leader and coach in Dave Hughes.

Dave has been involved in rugby for over 35 years as a player and 31 years as a coach. He values the camaraderie and sense of family in the rugby community. His mentors, Paul "Father" Carnes and Todd Pritchard, were his early coaches. Dave is deeply involved in the Regina rugby community, serving as the President of Regina Minor Rugby and coaching multiple teams.

Dave exemplifies rugby culture and has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Grads. He is epitomizes Grads Values of Community, Class and Commitment.

Dave was selected as a 2025 Gilbert Champion.  A well deserved award for a great coach and leader.  No one loves rugby more than Coach Dave.
